Not too much going on today.
Just wood chip being loaded onto a truck and taken to Sheddon Hill car park.
That is steam you can see coming from the wood chip. It can get very hot inside a pile like this.
When it gets to Sheddon Hill it is placed in an even bigger pile. It is useful to gardeners in some way completely unbeknown to me but if you want some just turn up with a container, a shovel and take what you want.It is hoped that work will start on Monday March 3 erecting a rock proof, but not bus proof I'm told, barrier along the length (450 metres) of the cliff face so one lane can open as soon as possible. I'll keep you posted.
