Day 44: Tuesday 11 March 2008

Before the road opened signs were put up. If you can not read this sign then perhaps you shouldn't be driving a car. If you do read this sign and ignore it then the gentleman fixing the sign knows how to write a ticket and can do it very fast.
At about 12:20 the road opened. This is the view as you drive towards Paignton from the Harbour. Don't hit the cones.
And going the other way. Also watch out for mad persons stepping out from behind the blue barrier.
The first bus, a FirstBus X80. The council needed to trim some trees further down the road before buses could pass safely and told us and FirstBus to stay out. Yeah. Right.

Notes about the blog. Updated 08 March 2008

Not much is happening at Rock Work now. All the work clearing the trees has been done. A barrier has been erected to prevent rock falls from reaching the road. Now we wait for the geological survey in May to see what can be done to fix the rocks in place.
After that when work starts again later in the year I will post more photos.
Any news items I come across I will post as they appear in the local paper.

Or you can work through the whole blog to find more detail.

If you left click on a photo you get a larger image.

Each day has the label "Day", click on it and you will miss out the other posts.

Articles from the Herald Express are labelled Herald Express.

And so on.

Please feel free to leave a comment.
